On Thursday 30th April 2009 a by-election was held for the post of DMYP to replace Arran Shargal who decided against taking up the position. In an in-project caucus, George Lindars-Hammond, who came 5th in the original election and is a long time DAFBY member, was duly elected.
George said on election day "I'm a serious man for serious times."
