1. LGB group in Bath

Jenny Drew came to tell a few of us about her plans for a Lesbian, Gay & Bisexual youth group in Bath city centre. She wanted it to be run by young people, similar to exisiting projects in Swindon and Bristol, as there was no exisiting provision in B&NES. Jenny was going to ask Tracey Pike for initial funding, then seek support from Youth Bank; she took email addresses of DAFBY members willing to help set this up.

2. Sex Education project

Tama told everyone how the Sex Education project was going, and that the group had decided not to make a DVD after all. John was to return soon with more resources to play with. It was agreed Leo & Felix would help with getting funding from the Terence Higgins Trust.

3. Project evaluation discussion
---
Last week's Youth Democracy Project evaluation sheets had been collated and Kate & Hattie were worried about some of the results, so the puppets discussed each issue that had been rated satisfactory or below. Overall, they agreed that although the group was not ideal in representation terms, this does not affect our work to a problematic extent. To increase young people's involvement in the running of the project, those genius animals thought we should try having a DAFBY member chairing each session, starting with Jonny next week [Jonny's reaction ]. Members unable to attend every week would be able to catch up with this handy email guide! Suggested improvements to the Youth Democracy Office included more sofas, fairy lights, and foooood; Matt D agreed to look into setting up a tuck shop, so members could grab some delicious eats at cheap cheap prices.

4. Postcards

Dafby.com is now fixed, so promotional postcards were feverishly grabbed at; George told us of his plans to cunningly hide them under trays in the Beechen Cliff canteen, Kirsty picked up a handful to distribute at Wellsway [ New postcards ], and Matt R took just one. But it -was- a perfect one. Plenty left =]

* We tried to decide the best and worst things about being a young person
* George failed to sneak back to the group without being seen, despite his, er, smooth moves... Kate laughed
* He's tired, and some days he "just wants to go to bed", and they should "just let him into 10 Downing Street right now" - it's... Stefan!
